Assegai

"Assegai is Wilbur Smith's thirty second novel, it follows The Triumph of the Sun in which the author brought the Courtney and Ballantyne series together. Assegai tells the story of Leon Courtney (son of Ryder Courtney) and is set in 1906 in Kenya. The events in the story are linked to and precede the outbreak of World War One."

  2. Bob!...yeah a weighty tome for the winter is always a good thing,eh! I really enjoy stories about Africa. I thought this one was going to be about the Zulu wars but was I ever mistaken. East Africa and WW1 and the Roosevelts on safari as well. I'll let you know ahead of time if I'm coming to Burlington. I guess The Coronation for a pint is out of the question....maybe The Dickens!....Later Alligator.
